'Strangled' Mirfield woman named by police

A woman's body found at a property in West Yorkshire prompting a murder inquiry, has been identified by police.

Nadija Ondzule, 36, from Latvia was found at the property on Oddfella Street, Mirfield after people raised concerns about her welfare.

Police found her body on Tuesday evening and a post-mortem conducted on Wednesday confirmed she died from strangulation.

A male suspect has been identified, who police believe has fled the country.

Police are working with the Crown Prosecution Service to arrest the suspect and urge anyone with information to contact them.
