Huddersfield pedestrian death woman named

A woman who received fatal injuries when she was hit by a car while crossing a road in Huddersfield has been named.

Kayleigh Sylvester, 24, from Town Crescent, was struck by a Ford Mondeo on the A62 Leeds road on Friday night.

She was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary but died from her injuries.

A 38-year-old man arrested in connection with her death has been bailed. Anyone with information is urged to the contact police.
