Cyclist killed in lorry collision on A303 is named

A cyclist who was killed in a crash involving a lorry on a Somerset road has been named as Michael Freshwater, 60, from Yeovil.

The crash happened on the A303 at West Podimore on Sunday, 21 November.

Officers said both Mr Freshwater and the lorry were travelling west at the time.

A 45-year-old man from Exeter was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and is now on bail pending further inquiries.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the crash to contact them.
