Four seriously injured in Salisbury crash

Four people have been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash involving three cars in Wiltshire.

The incident happened on London Road, Salisbury at about 1720 GMT on Saturday.

Police said it was thought a Mazda RX-8 travelling south collided with a Vauxhall Frontera head on.

A Volkswagen Fox then collided with the Vauxhall. The road was closed for about seven hours.

The Wiltshire police spokesman said a fifth person suffered minor injuries.
