An e-fit of a man police want to speak to in connection with a rape has been released.

Police said the 32-year-old victim left the Elm Tree pub in Bishopsworth, south Bristol, alone late last Thursday or early on Friday.

She walked to Four Acres, where a man grabbed her arm. The woman shouted at him and hit him, scratching the right side of his face.

The man then dragged her to Highridge Common and raped her, police said.

The force spokesman said the woman left the pub, which reopened last Thursday following a refurbishment, between 2300 GMT that night and 0230 GMT on Friday.

Detectives want to question a man described as white, aged between 28 and 35, and about 5ft 8in tall.

They also want to speak to people who attended the pub opening.
