Police investigating the death of a woman whose remains were found on industrial land in Bristol have identified her as Lorraine Sweetman.

Her body was discovered during work to clear overgrown land off Hallen Road in Avonmouth on 11 March.

Sergeant Bob Baker said: "At this stage we do not believe this death is suspicious."

He added that it was believed she had gone missing in November or December 2004.

Sgt Baker said: "We are keen to speak to anyone who may have had contact with her around this time."

He said an investigation was still ongoing and that they were keeping an open mind as to how she came to be on the site.

The woman's remains were fully clothed and police said there had been no effort to conceal her body.

The land, which has been disused since 2007, is the former home of Sevalco Limited and is now owned by Viridor and is subject to a planning application for a recycling centre.
