Cannabis seized in police raid in Bristol

Police have seized £60,000 worth of cannabis in a drugs raid in Bristol.

They found more than 140 plants in a property on Dormer Road, in the Eastville area, along with equipment used for growing cannabis.

A 47-year-old man was arrested following the discovery but has now been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Officers thanked the local community who passed on information which allowed them to uncover the drug site.

Sgt Nigel Chapmen, from Avon and Somerset Constabulary, said it was a "professional set-up" which "was capable of producing thousands of pounds of cannabis".
