Inmates come down from Bristol Prison roof

An inmate who climbed on to the roof of Bristol Prison has come down after 13 hours.

Police were initially called to reports that two prisoners were on the roof of the prison, in the Horfield area of Bristol, at 1125 BST on Sunday.

One came down about two hours later. A Ministry of Justice spokesman said the other came down by himself at 0045 BST on Monday, following negotiations.

The Avon and Somerset Police helicopter monitored the incident.
