Bath pubs given warnings for under-age gambling
Three pubs in Bath have received warnings after they were discovered allowing under-age customers to gamble.
Bath and North East Somerset Council launched an operation to ensure establishments were following statutory rules on preventing under-age gambling.
Out of four pubs checked by young volunteers who attempted to use their gaming machines, three made no effort to stop them or question their ages.
A council spokesman said "We won't name and shame unless it goes on further."
The council said that those found breaking the rules would be advised on how to improve their procedures and tested again in the future.
