Cygnet death in St George's park investigated by police

Police investigating the death of a cygnet in a Bristol park would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident.

The bird was found at the lake in St George's park during the early afternoon on Saturday 4 June.

Officers said they wanted to talk to people who were in the lake area and may have seen a "distressed cygnet".

They are also interested in any photographs taken by people who were in the park at the time.

Anyone who may have information about the incident is asked to contact Avon and Somerset's Fishponds Neighbourhood Policing Team.
