Wiltshire Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with a robbery in Swindon.

Police said a man handed a threatening note to a Travelex cashier at Sainsbury's in Bridgemead at about 0900 BST on 9 June.

The note threatened the cashier and her family and ordered her to hand over money, the force said.

The suspect is described as in his 40s or 50s, with white hair, 5ft 8in (1.7m) to 6ft (1.8m) tall and of medium build.

Det Con Matt Salmon said: "Fortunately the man did not use any violence, nevertheless robbery is a serious offence and this was understandably a very frightening experience for the cashier.

"In order to progress my inquiry, I am appealing for help from the public.

"In particular, I am keen to speak to anyone who was in the store or the local area at the time and saw a man fitting the description.

"I would also like to speak to anyone who recognises the man in the image."
