Amesbury fire: Hundreds moved amid blast fears

Four hundred people were evacuated from their homes after fears that gas cylinders could explode in a fire.

Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said the fire at a shed and outbuildings in Antrobus Road, Amesbury, started after 2300 BST.

A 200m cordon was put in place and residents were taken to the Stonehenge Sports Centre.

Five cylinders - three LPG, one argon shield and one acetylene - were deemed safe by engineers on Friday morning.

One woman was treated at the scene after suffering from smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
