Avon Fire service films show drivers how to react

A series of films have been made to educate drivers on how to react when they see an emergency vehicle.

Avon Fire and Rescue said there had been accidents in the past while crews were trying to get to incidents.

The service said the campaign was about "filling the gap" in the knowledge and training of motorists.

Chief fire officer Kevin Peterson said: "They see an emergency vehicle and they haven't been told, they haven't been trained in what to do."

Three films aimed at learner drivers, new drivers and experienced drivers have been posted on YouTube.
