Officers investigating the fatal shooting of a man in Bristol are asking customers at a pub near the scene to come forward.

Rico Gordon, 21, from London, was killed early on 3 July near the Coach House pub in Stapleton Road, Easton.

Nine men have now been arrested and released on bail in the murder investigation.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said Mr Gordon's funeral was due to be held in London on Saturday.

The spokesman said a gunfight took place between two groups that had travelled to Bristol from London.

He said detectives were working with the Metropolitan Police and Operation Trident, which tackles gun crime in London's black communities.

Police say they still want to talk to anyone who was in the area at the time of the shooting.

The spokesman appealed in particular to anyone who was drinking in the Coach House and people who were in Berwick Road or Stapleton Road to come forward.
