The funeral has taken place of a man who was killed in Bristol earlier this month.

Rico Gordon, 21, from London, died in a shooting in the early hours of 3 July, near the Coach House pub in Stapleton Road, Easton.

A funeral service took place on Saturday morning in west London, followed by a burial.

Meanwhile police have renewed their appeal for witnesses to the killing to get in touch.

Nine men have been arrested and released on bail in connection with the murder investigation.

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said a gun fight took place between two groups that had travelled to Bristol from London.

He said officers are still hoping to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time who may have information which could help with the inquiry.

The spokesman appealed in particular for people who were in Berwick Road or Stapleton Road, or who were drinking in the Coach House pub, to get in touch.

Detectives from Avon and Somerset Police are working with the Metropolitan Police and Operation Trident, which tackles gun crime in London's black communities.
