Police investigating last week's disturbances in Bristol have raided an address in the centre of the city.

Lodge Street, off Park Row, was cordoned-off on Wednesday afternoon with 10 vans, some containing officers wearing body armour, parked nearby.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said officers did not find the person they were looking for.

A nearby white board carried a printed police sign saying "arrest operation in relation to Bristol disorder".

Forensic officers were examining the property and a number of items were taken away.
