Bristol 'brick' attack fractures man's jaw

A man has had his jaw fractured in an attack by two men in Bristol.

The man, 34, was on Newry Road, Knowle at about 19:30 BST on Thursday when he was approached by the pair.

He reported to police that the men shouted abuse at him before attacking him and hitting him in the face several times, possibly with a brick.

He was treated in hospital for a fractured jaw and needed 25 stitches to his face, but was unable to provide an immediate police statement.

One of the suspects is described as white and aged about 18 or 19. He possibly had a bike with him.
