Rescue after man falls on to rocks at Ladye Bay

A man was airlifted to hospital with serious head injuries after falling off a cliff on to rocks in Somerset.

The man, thought to be in his 30s, was found on the rocks at Ladye Bay in Clevedon at about 23:00 BST on Saturday.

Due to the rocky terrain paramedics were unable to get a stretcher to him and an RAF Sea King helicopter was launched.

He was airlifted to Frenchay Hospital where he is in a serious condition.
