Man hurt in police car collision in Bristol
A man has been taken to hospital after a police car answering a 999 call was in collision with his vehicle.
Emergency services were called to Cheltenham Road, close to the arches, at 23:00 BST on Saturday following reports of the accident.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokeswoman said the driver of the non-police vehicle remained in a stable condition in Frenchay Hospital.
"Anyone who witnesses the collision is asked to contact police," she added.
An Avon Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said firefighters had taken about 45 minutes to cut the victim free from his car.
