A man has died at the Cadbury factory near Bristol.

Police were called to reports of a sudden death involving a digger at the disused Keynsham factory at 17:30 GMT on Wednesday.

The dead man is believed to be from Wales. The police and the Health and Safety Executive are investigating.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said the force was "keeping an open mind" regarding the circumstances of the death.

The last chocolate was produced at the Somerdale factory in January after the company was taken over by food giant Kraft.

The plant shut down in March.
