Coroner rules kayak death in River Frome 'an accident'

A coroner has ruled a verdict of accidental death after a man went missing while kayaking in the river Frome.

Iain Woodcock, of Bristol, was kayaking on 14 December 2011 in Frenchay with a group of up to six people.

The 33-year-old was found but suffered a cardiac arrest and died in hospital. A post-mortem examination found he died from drowning.

The inquest was held at Flax Bourton Coroner's Court on Monday.
