An investigation has started after a piece of masonry fell from a building, through a glass canopy and on to a busy Bristol street.

The carved block of stone fell from a building on Queen's Road, on the Clifton Triangle. Nobody was hurt.

The investigation is being carried out by Bristol City Council.

Four years ago a student received serious head injuries when he was hit by falling masonry close to where the latest incident happened.
