South Gloucestershire youth centre plan backed
A plan for six youth centres in South Gloucestershire to stay under council control was approved on Monday.
The centres in Kingswood, Cadbury Heath, Patchway, Yate, Staple Hill and Filton will be protected after budget cuts by the authority.
The county's other seven centres now face bidding for a share of £400,000.
The plan was backed by the Liberal Democrats and Labour. The Conservatives had proposed allowing outside firms to run all the area's youth centres.
