M5 near Bristol closed overnight to install footbridge

The M5 near Bristol will be closed in both directions for four nights to install a new footbridge and carry out other essential work.

The closures affect the southbound M5 from junction 17 to 15 and northbound from junction 17 to 16 between 22:00 and 06:00 GMT on Monday and Tuesday.

The same closures will be in place on Wednesday and Thursday 10 January for repair work on the carriageway.

The new steel footbridge is due to open at the end of January.

Diversion routes will be clearly signposted.
