Louise Cox tandem crash deaths case adjourned for plea hearing

A woman charged with perverting the course of justice after the deaths of a Bristol couple who were knocked off their tandem bike has had her case adjourned for a plea hearing.

Louise Cox, 35, from Oldland Common, was released on bail and will appear at Bristol Crown Court on 24 April.

Ross Simons, 34, and his wife Clare, 30, died at the scene of the crash in Hanham on 27 January.

Nicholas Lovell, 38, faces two charges of causing death by dangerous driving.

Mr Lovell, from Oldland Common, is currently in custody and also faces charges of driving while disqualified, driving with no insurance and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.

A date for his trial has been set for 15 July.
