Paris Vince-Stephens: Mother denies murder

The teenage mother of a three-month-old baby that died in hospital of head injuries has denied her murder.

Danah Vince, 18, of Mendip Road, Portishead, is charged with murder and causing or allowing the death of Paris Vince-Stephens in January.

At Bristol Crown Court she entered not guilty pleas to both charges. A trial date has been set for 16 October.

Paris was taken to the Bristol Royal Infirmary with a serious head injury but did not recover from her injuries.

Ms Vince appeared in court alongside Paris's father, William Stephens, 25, of Fonthill Road, Southmead, who has also been charged with the murder of the child.

He denied the charge at an earlier hearing.

Ms Vince was released on bail to return before the court at the next hearing. Mr Stephens was remanded in custody.
