Six stabbed as violence mars St Pauls Carnival events

Six people were stabbed in separate incidents near the Saint Pauls Carnival in Bristol over the weekend.

Avon and Somerset Police said two men have been arrested in connection with two of the incidents, which are not believed to be connected.

Two men in their early twenties remain in hospital in stable conditions, a spokesman said.

A 24-year-old man from Birmingham and a 21-year-old man from Bristol have been released on bail.
