Work to improve the junction for Cribbs Causeway on the M5 has been announced by the Highways Agency.

Some £1.2m is to be spent upgrading the signs and lining on the southbound exit of junction 17 to ease congestion for people heading to the retail area.

The money has come from the government's "pinch-point" programme.

Drivers are being warned to expect narrow lanes and some lane closures while work is carried out between 8 January and the end of February.
