Woman in court after devices on road damage police car tyres

A woman has appeared in court after devices were laid on roads in South Gloucestershire, damaging the tyres of a patrolling police vehicle.

Emma Sheppard, 33, faces three charges of conspiring to commit criminal damage, reckless to endanger life, following the incident on New Year's Eve.

She refused to give North Avon Magistrates' Court her address.

She was remanded in custody to appear at Bristol Crown Court on 27 January.
