A man has been shot and seriously injured outside a pub in Bristol.

Police said the 25-year-old victim was taken to hospital having been shot in the stomach during the attack outside the Jolly Roger pub on Easton Road shortly after 04:00 BST.

The scene is currently cordoned off and Avon and Somerset police officers have "increased their presence".

Detectives have appealed for witnesses to the incident or anyone with information to contact them.
