Bristol bomb scare: Man ordered to appear in court

A 24-year-old man has been ordered to appear in court after a car was left outside a Bristol police station prompting a security alert.

The Volkswagen Golf was left outside Bridewell Street station on Sunday.

Officers closed much of the city centre for a number of hours and army bomb disposal experts were also called in.

A 23-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman, also arrested in connection with the incident, were released without charge.

The 24-year-old man has been summonsed to court for using a motor vehicle without insurance, driving without a licence and using a vehicle without a valid MOT.
