Conservatives on Cambridgeshire County Council have chosen Nick Clarke as their new group leader.

Mr Clarke, 51, who represents Fulbourn ward and has lived in the county for 21 years, became a county councillor in 2009.

He succeeds Jill Tuck, who announced in February that she was standing down for family reasons.

Subject to a vote by all members, Mr Clarke will be elected council leader on 17 May.
