A clean-up operation is under way after a severe fire at industrial buildings in Cambridgeshire.

More than 70 firefighters tackled the blaze at CoolerAid on Dales Manor Business Park, Sawston, which began at about 1915 BST on Saturday.

Crews from Sawston, Cambridge, Saffron Walden, Bury St Edmunds, Royston, Huntingdon, Yaxley, Gamlingay and Cottenham attended the scene.

Local residents were advised to keep doors and windows closed.

Gas cylinders

CoolerAid supplies water coolers and boilers.

Firefighters had to take extra care because of gas cylinders in the building.

They were at the scene until the early hours of Sunday morning.

Fire investigators went to the premises on Sunday and crews were returning to re-inspect the damage.

Group manager Mick Lawrence, of Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service, said: "Crews worked extremely well to prevent the spread of the fire and used active firefighting techniques and rapid cooling tactics to prevent explosion from the gas cylinders, restricting damage to the building and valuable contents."
