Driver dies following Peterborough coach crash

The driver of a coach carrying 44 people that crashed in Peterborough has died in hospital.

The vehicle was travelling south on the A1139 Frank Perkins Parkway on Saturday, when it veered through the crash barriers.

The 49-year-old man, from Loughborough, was taken to Peterborough Hospital with serious injuries. He died on Monday night.

A passenger suffered neck injuries and also needed hospital treatment.

No other vehicle was involved.
