Crews tackle Guilden Morden thatched house fire

More than 40 firefighters were called to tackle a blaze at a thatched house in a Cambridgeshire village.

Ten fire engines were called on Tuesday afternoon to Guilden Morden in the south of the county, between Royston, Hertfordshire, and Biggleswade in Bedfordshire.

About half of the building was damaged and crews built a fire break to prevent flames spreading, a spokesman said.

Crews expected to be at the scene overnight.
