Body found in search at Cambridgeshire lake for missing boy

A second body has been recovered from a nature reserve lake where two males went missing from a boat.

Stepbrothers Luke Yardy and Ashley Fountain were reported missing after going out near the Kingfishers Bridge Project at Wicken, Ely, Cambridgeshire.

Police divers found the second body, believed to be a 17-year-old boy, on Monday evening. The body of a 22-year-old man was found on Sunday.

An investigation into how the accident happened will now be carried out.

The discovery of the bodies is not being treated as suspicious, police added.

A Metropolitan Police diving team and Spartan Rescue had been looking for the bodies of the two men since they reported missing on Sunday.

Opened in 1995, the Kingfishers Bridge Project has transformed 150 acres of arable farmland into a wildlife reserve.
