A person using a Segway is being sought by police investigating a sexual assault in Cambridge.

Police believe the person on the two-wheeled transporter may have seen something crucial to the inquiry as they rode across Parker's Piece at 06:15 BST on Tuesday.

An attack on a woman in her 30s as she walked across the green space was reported to police at 06:30 BST.

A cyclist was also seen in the area and has been asked to contact officers.

The offender is described as olive-skinned with short, dark hair.

He had a round face with brown eyes, was of average to medium build and in his late 20s to early 30s.

He was about about 5ft 8in (1.73m), had a foreign accent and smelled of alcohol.

He was wearing dark blue jeans with a brown belt and a green or brown khaki jacket with a zip and fur-lined collar.
