Weedkiller spray blamed for 'sickness' at Huntingdon estate

Chemical weedkiller spraying on farmland has been blamed for 35 people on a Cambridgeshire industrial estate suffering breathing problems on Friday.

Two men from a door panel company were taken to hospital in the morning and were allowed home later.

The incident affected the West Newlands Industrial Estate in Huntingdon, but the fire service said there was no risk of harm to the public.

The fire service said chemical spraying on a farm could have caused the nausea.

Businesses on the site were advised to close windows and doors.
