Cambridge women jailed for £300k fraud of neighbour

A mother and her daughters have been detained for defrauding an elderly neighbour in Cambridge.

Mahletchimi Ramadu, 53, Angela Davis, 27, and Jessica Mahatevan, 18, had signed documents to release almost £300,000 owned by Stanley Flack, 83.

A Cambridge Crown Court jury convicted them of conspiracy to steal last month.

Ramadu received five years in prison, Davis three years in jail and Mahatevan 18 months in a young offenders' institution on Friday.

Mr Flack has Alzheimer's and thought Ramadu and Mahatevan, both of Stanley Road, and Davis, of Mortlock Avenue, were looking out for him, the court had heard.
