A £3m revamp of Huntingdonshire Regional College will turn the facility into a "superb asset for the community", according to its principal.

The campus refurbishment includes new classrooms, offices, social areas with IT facilities, new kitchens and a cafe.

The work took two years to complete and was funded by the college and a grant from the Skills Funding Agency.

Susanne Stent said: "The cramped 1960s frontage has been completely opened up with a two-storey glass atrium."

She described it as "a fantastic resource not only for our students, but also for local businesses and the community."
