Third person charged in connection with Huntingdon assaults

A third person has been charged in connection with a series of assaults in Huntingdon last weekend.

The 17-year-old male, from the town, has been charged with two counts of causing grievous bodily harm and will appear in court later.

Two others, a 22-year-old and a 19-year-old have already been charged in connection with the incidents.

The 19-year-old will appear in court again on 20 February. The 22-year-old is due in court again on 23 February.

Four men, aged 17, two aged 18 and a 19-year-old, have been bailed until 30 March after being arrested following the attacks.

Cambridgeshire police said the assaults, which they believe are linked, took place between 21:20 GMT on Saturday and 03:35 on Sunday.

Two victims sustained stab wounds.

A youth of 17 received a head injury but did not need medical treatment.
