Police are carrying out further tests at the scene of a fatal stabbing in Peterborough which killed one man and left another seriously hurt.

The men, both in their 20s and believed to be from Lithuania, were attacked at a house in Gilpin Street on Wednesday morning. One died at the scene.

The second man was taken to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

Police said they had traced next of kin and a post-mortem examination was due to take place later.

Det Ch Insp Tim Redfearn said: "Any information, no matter how small, could prove vital."
