Agricultural vehicle 'rams' police car in Cambridgeshire
Two police officers were injured when the car they were in was "rammed" by an agricultural vehicle in Cambridgeshire, police said.
Officers were called to reports of a vehicle being driven without lights in Long Lane, Gamlingay, at about 03:00 BST.
Police said a Teleporter agricultural vehicle, used for stacking bales, rammed the police car into a side road.
The officers suffered minor injuries.
The driver of the Teleporter got out of the vehicle and into a Mini Clubman which made off down Church Road, heading towards Potton, police said.
The Teleporter has been recovered and is being examined by police.
Sgt Paul Rogerson, of Cambridgeshire Police, said: "I would like to hear from anyone who was in the area and maybe saw the police car being rammed or saw the vehicles leaving the scene.
"I believe these vehicles were due to commit a ram raid before officers were alerted. Therefore, I'd ask the residents in the surrounding villages to remain vigilant and report anything suspicious to police."
