Peterborough family 'running out of options' over visa

4 March 2014 Last updated at 13:05 GMT

Dave Chappell and his daughter Emma, three, from Peterborough say they are running out of options after Mr Chappell's wife has failed to get a visa for the second time because he does not earn enough.

Brandi Chappell lives 4,000 miles away in America, and for her to be granted a visa Mr Chappell has to earn £18,600 or have £62,000 in savings.

Mr Chappell says his military pension falls far short of those figures.

Now he says he does not see how the family can be together.

Neil Bradford reports.
