Cambridgeshire firefighter crushed by fire engine
A firefighter suffered multiple injuries when he was crushed by a reversing fire engine, while tackling a blaze started by arsonists.
Crews were called to the fire in a derelict building in Riverside, Cambridge, on Tuesday.
The firefighter, in his 30s, did not suffer life-threatening injuries but remains in hospital for treatment, Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue said.
The fire service confirmed an internal investigation was taking place.
The East of England Ambulance Service said it was called at 17:09 GMT, on 10 March, to "a road traffic collision on Stanley Road, Cambridge".
"[The man] was taken to Addenbrooke's with multiple injuries including a suspected arm injury."
A fire service spokesman said he could not comment further as an investigation was under way.
