Hartford A141 lorry crash death: Driver charged

A man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving following a crash between two lorries which killed one of the drivers, and left both vehicles in flames.

The accident happened on the A141 at Hartford in Cambridgeshire on 10 March.

Phil Asplin, 59, of Cedar Close, March, died at the scene.

The driver of the second lorry, Vasile Chindris, 23, of Percival Road, Hornchurch, east London, has been charged and will appear in court later.
