Falmouth petrol thief uses stolen car numberplates

A petrol thief has been using stolen numberplates to evade detection in Falmouth, Cornwall.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the registration plates were stolen from a Renault Clio at the end of January.

Since then, they have been used on a different Renault car which has filled up at two petrol stations and driven off without paying for the fuel.

An image of the driver captured at the second garage have been released by police who are appealing for help.
