Newlyn harbour death teenager named as Liam Guille

Police have named the 17-year-old crewman found dead in Newlyn harbour in Cornwall.

Liam Guille was last seen just before 0100 BST on Sunday during a night out in the harbour area of Newlyn

The teenager, from Alderney in the Channel Islands, was part of the crew of a fishing boat that moors in the harbour.

Devon and Cornwall Police said his body had been recovered and next of kin had been informed.

After Liam was reported missing at 1600 BST on Monday, a search involving both the police and coastguard was launched with police divers eventually locating his body on Tuesday.

Insp Dave Meredith said: "There was nothing to indicate any suspicious circumstances whatsoever... but they will be investigated fully.

"[He] was very popular amongst the fishing community here."
