The Cornish electrical firm ETS has gone out of business with the loss of 57 jobs.

The firm had six shops across the county and was placed into administration on 28 April.

Joint administrators Bishop Fleming said the staff had been very loyal and it was a shame a buyer had not been found.

ETS had shops in Bodmin, Helston, Penzance, St Austell, Truro and Camborne.

The company had operated for 48 years and was founded when there was an increased demand for television sets.

Jerry O'Sullivan, from Bishop Fleming, said: "While there was some interest no-one made an offer, so we had no alternative but to close the shops down."
