Arson suspected in Launceston bookshop fire

A fire at a bookshop in Cornwall is being investigated by police.

The fire was reported at the shop in Launceston's Church Street at about 0030 BST.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a thermal imaging camera to locate the fire at the back of the shop and extinguish it by 0100 BST.

Cornwall County Fire and Rescue Service said arson was suspected as the cause of the fire.

It is not known whether any books were damaged in the blaze.
